RECOLLECTIONS VIII

I've put together sort of a crazy-quilt of photos for this page -- some old, some new and even a audio clip. Thought I'd try something new on the site. Don't forget to look through the other pages in this section.
It's turning into quite a scrapbook of memories.

I've always been proud of my work with Smokey Bear. Here's a shot of us
from the old days working together to prevent forest fires.

This year as the Forest Service celebrated their 100th anniversary in Washington, DC, Lassie and I were invited to attend the festivities. Along the way, we stopped by the Smithsonian to visit my original outfit.

Here I am signing autographs in Nashua, New Hampshire to help raise money for the Humane Society there.

Earlier in the week, I was with my buddy Gary Sohmers at the Brimfield Antiques Show. Recognize him from Antiques Roadshow?

Laurie and I visited Wendy Hagen Cox this spring, my co-star from "The New Lassie".

Here she is with her husband, Shiloh.
And here's baby Elijah who is carrying on the love of Lassie legacy in the family.

Speaking of old friends, Angela Cartwright and I go way back. She just sent this photo she found recently.
We have no idea where we are or who the other little boy is...but dig my Madras blazer!
And another friend sent this postcard
of Lassie and me.

One fan who wrote begged for a nice photo of Jan Clayton. I figured there must be more than one out there, so here she is in a beautiful portrait and in the barn with Tommy and me. If you've seen my other recollections pages, you know I always try to end them with a shot of Tommy.

It seems fitting that I close with something from my first season on "Lassie" --
with Jan and Tommy. When they -- as Ellen and Jeff Miller --
decided to sell the farm to Paul and Ruth Martin,
I was part of the package!

This is my first audio clip on the site. Let me know how you like it.
