Dear Friends,

It’s been an exciting year so far. Lots of shows and lots of new friends.
Far and away, my most exciting news is that I will be a grandfather in September! My beautiful daughter is presenting me with a granddaughter in 7 weeks or so. I can hardly believe it – “Timmy” can now play “Gramps” in a remake of the show!

Since the beginning of the year, I’ve been to Colorado Springs to Galaxyfest – what a great time Laurie and I had there. Likewise in Cambridge, Ohio for the Hopalong Cassidy Festival – his spirit is alive and well! -- and in Cincinnati for the Nostalgia Expo…love doing those old radio shows! Laurie and I loved our time at the Western Film Fair in Winston-Salem. They know how to put on a good show there! Must be that Southern hospitality. And in a week or so – after I see Paul McCartney close Candlestick Park in San Francisco, I will head to Wheaton, IL for an all-night flea market! I’m not kidding: 4pm to 4am…needless to say, this will be a first for me. And I am really happy that Collie Rescue of Greater IL will be joining me there with two collies every 90 minutes through midnight! Most of you know I like to promote rescue (and low cost spay and neutering) whenever possible. So come have your photo taken with me and “Lassie’s friends” while donating to a worthy cause!

Naturally, I have saved my most exciting news for last.
