March,
2013
Greetings!
March always starts off with a bang for me: first, it
brings my birthday – this one was my (ouch) 63rd. But the pain
of the aging process was quickly dulled by the joyous celebration of
my wedding anniversary a couple of weeks later. This year is number
14; and it may sound cliché, but each year is better than the
last. I’m a lucky man.
Last summer, I had the honor of playing real-life North Carolina Senator
Don Vaughn in a wonderful film with a very strong ant animal abuse theme
called “Susie’s Hope.” I’m very excited to announce
that the film will premiere at the RiverRun Film Festival in April.
Check the website to read Susie’s
amazing story and to see where you can see this inspiring film.
I hope it starts warming up in the Midwest soon. April will bring me
to Chicago for an appearance at the Museum of Broadcast Communications.
I am really looking forward to it. I hear it’s a great place.
Afterwards, I will sign copies of my book TIMMY’S IN THE WELL
along with some great vintage photos. For those of you who can’t
be there, you can still get personally signed copies of my book from
me. I have a very limited number of the hardback available as well as
the paperback.
While I am in Chicago, I am going to do a “Lassie” promo
for METV. The show is seen there and on so many other networks. I’ve
caught some rarely-seen episodes I barely remember making. I’ve
got to say,
I have really enjoyed watching it again and hearing from so many of
you who are also enjoying it again.
It’s shaping up to be a great year. Stay in touch!
All the best,
- Jon
