Dear Friends,

O.K! O.K! I know I am late. Forgive me once again, but life sometimes gets in the way. I promise to be better. Let's catch up.

This year, I saw some old friends, some new friends and one former co-star at a couple of wonderful events in Northern CA. Check out the pictures on the new RECOLLECTIONS page. And if this is your first visit, take some time to look through all the other pages there. It's a trip.

I just returned from the National Sports Expo in Cleveland. What a great event. I met Whitey Ford! It was awesome. I had a little time to myself and visited the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Wow! I could have spent days there. It was really fantastic and I highly recommend both venues. Next year the National will be in Chicago. Check it out.

After mentioning Tweetsie Railroad in my last update, I got so many emails from people who saw me there. Well, you just might get to see me there again - this month. I can't promise, but keep checking my APPEARANCES page for news.

I just made plans to attend the Pet Expo in Salt Lake City this month. I owe that one to the watchful eyes of Sue Chantry who lives in SLC and runs a fan site for me at: http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/jonprovost (If you think I have pictures, you should see hers!) In the fall, I'll be with Laurie (link to www.lauriejacobson.com) at Chiller in New Jersey in October and on my own in Asheville, NC November. My old friend Mary Badham will be at both with me. We worked together in "This Property is Condemned". Look for it on my FILMOGRAPHY page. I'll be with Laurie in Laughlin, NV in November and alone in Wisconsin in December (brrrr!) and a few more places before the year is through. If you can't get to any of these places, you can always pick a photo for me to sign from the AUTOGRAPHED PHOTOS page.

The big news is that September 12, 2004 is the 50th anniversary of "Lassie" debuting on TV? Amazing, huh? It's MY 47th, but the show's 50th. I can't say much right now, except that there WILL be a celebration. Look for me that week and check my APPEARANCES page for updates. If you sign my GUESTBOOK, I'll email you a heads up! And to my friends in Germany, look for me in STERN Magazine and on U&I TV. I just did interviews with both of them.

Life is moving at a fast pace. I am now the proud father of not one, but two high school graduates. Laurie and I celebrated 5 wonderful years of marriage. TV's "Lassie" will be 50. And I've got some very exciting things in the works. Life is good, my friends. I am a lucky man. Enjoy the rest of your summer.
